In search of her father, Ringo travels to her childhood family home in the northwest territories of Canada to search for any clues or research he left behind, but she encounters something else entirely. Something inhuman.
The fateful encounter leads Rin to slip out of consciousness, where she then awakens in an unfamiliar hidden region of the woods, what can be described as an alternate purgatory dimension. Luckily enough, she is not the only human who has been spirited away to this mysterious rotting dimension; those trapped there before her call it
